How The Matrix Got Me In 2023
There was the time my mirror reflection looked at me. I moved my head and shifted my eyes but the reflection didn't. There was the time I realized that my son smells like my childhood doll. A doll I obsessed over and kissed repeatedly. There was this time I caught some weird flying object on video that could only be noticed when replayed at slow speed. The object was indoors in a gym. There was this time a red bird in a cage appeared in my house. It was there for a moment, and then it was gone. For the moment it "existed" I felt like it belonged to me.
These moments evoked a "spooky" feeling in me. The feeling of spooky often occurs when an experience clashes with your notion of reality.
Also sitting in a feeling of spooky invites more spooky experiences. If you feel spooked it means you opened yourself up to a possibility. The opening up naturally invites more of what is opened up to.
Of course spooky experiences may have "rational" explanations. Sometimes you mistake something for something else. But not all purportedly rational explanations adequately explain all spooky phenomena.
A common explanation cites unusual brain chemistry as the culprit of unusual experiences.
If we accept that normal brain chemistry facilitates perceptions that correspond to something real, then we must admit the possibility that unusual brain chemistry also corresponds to something real.
Perhaps odd brain chemistry allows the perceiving of other aspects of reality? Perhaps our brains are instruments that can tune into different realities? Maybe there are other dimensions? Maybe other entities exit?
Then again maybe there is no brain.
Maybe we live in some sort of simulation?
In the Matrix movies odd experiences result from glitches in the simulation.
Were my experiences glitches in some sort of Matrix?

In December of 2023 things got weirder.
Throughout the year I joked that "The Matrix is after me." It was usually a response to a minor technological inconvenience like an app malfunctioning.
—Story interruption to explain the origin of the joke as it had a freakish consequence—
Andrew Tate And An Alternate Use Of The Word "Matrix"
In 2021 Andrew Tate stormed on the social media scene and barked up a storm on how the system brainwashes men and keeps them down. He called the system “The Matrix.”
He promised men that they can escape the Matrix by learning to make money. He set up “Hustler’s University,” an online academy that for $49.99 per month teaches you how to make income online through methods like dropshipping and content creation. Hustler’s University has since then been renamed “The Real World Portal.”
Tate predicted that the “Matrix” will try to take him down for disseminating truth.
On December 29, 2022, Andrew Tate along with his brother Tristan Tate were arrested in Romania on suspicion of rape, human trafficking and forming an organized crime ring to sexually exploit women.
Is he guilty? Or did the “Matrix” get him?
Or maybe he pissed off the Romanian government by luring a daughter of a prominent government official into his famous webcam business and hence prompting the Romanian government to look into him and consequently discovering his bragging about lax Romanian rape laws and boasting about scamming rich men out of money using Romania’s beautiful daughters and therefore leaving proud Romania no choice but to take action against such an insult, and then in the process discovering that there are Bugattis to confiscate making the entire ordeal schadenfreudingly delicious? Idk.
Andrew and Tristan Tate spent 3 months in jail. Then they were put under house arrest in their Romanian home until August of 2023. They are not allowed to leave Romania. They await trial. The trial date has not yet been set.
The term “The Matrix” now permeates the lexicon of the self improvement and spiritual communities. It refers to the mind prison installed by society’s conditioning. To be clear, it was used in this way before Tate, but Tate popularized this particular usage of the word and took it to another level. It is often used independently of Tate theories and refers to different conceptions of social conditioning by different people.
The phrase “The Matrix is after me,” is usually meant sarcastically or as a joke. This is how I used it, as a joke. Some people mean it literally though.
My story continued…
How My Joke Turned On Me
On Dec 7, 2023, while squatting in the gym, I heard a mechanical roar. The gym’s Roomba style vacuum cleaner appeared at my feet. It chased me out of the squat rack. I looked down and saw that it was named the “Matrix.”
So I once again joked that “the Matrix is after me.” I made a cute little video about it chasing me and posted it on Instagram.
On Dec 28, 2023, A Toyota Matrix T-boned me at an intersection. Estimated damage: $6,618.
So what happened? Did my joking about the Matrix being after me attract a car accident? Or are the overlords of our Matrix warning me to stop prying into the mysteries of the universe? Or maybe they are tired of Tate jokes?
Getting hit was pretty scary. It shook me up.
What I Am Doing Different In 2024
In 2024 I will no longer joke about the Matrix being after me. Since words have power, I am going to talk about how the Matrix brings me money.
Say it with me:
The Matrix brings me money The Matrix brings me money The Matrix brings me money The Matrix brings me money The Matrix brings me money The Matrix brings me money The Matrix brings me money
