What do you do when you don’t really want something? You try to get rid of it. Sometimes this happens beneath your own radar.
Truth has a certain resonance, a certain glow. This glow contrasts the lie. This causes a disturbance in the force field that is your existence.
You can lie to yourself to a point. Sometimes that point is really far. But eventually that disturbance grows tentacles and starts making moves on your behalf.
It sabotages the job you never really wanted. It sabotages your relationship with that person who you really shouldn’t be with.
You panic. Everything you struggled and forced is in jeopardy.
Kali, the Hindu goddess of death and destruction destroys everything that cannot stand on its own. A life build on falseness is such a thing.
Those tentacles of self sabotage are the energetic arms of Kali. They are not standing for falseness anymore.
Kali is also the goddess of rebirth. The falling of the falseness sets the ground for a life in truth.
To build a life from your truth takes courage.
There will be ridicule and opposition. People telling you that you are living wrong. But what options are there? To stay in the gutter? To build a life on yet another lie?
You will struggle either way. Better struggle to build something on a foundation of your inner truth.
What happened to me when I finally let go of what wasn’t serving me:
Thank you for being here.
Ha ha, by a bizarre twist of timing - I have been putting together my life story (for my daughter more than anything else !) which has been quite the fun ride having been in the rock n roll business all of my life - and just yesterday I was entering a piece about playing at the El Mocambo in Toronto in 1977 !!! It is such a small world that we live in :)
So glad to have found your writing. I’m so looking forward to reading and diving into your telos, and these insights. Thank you...
